Welcome to London Transport Expanded Concept Map I. This is just a fantasy map and is not based on real events. This map has over 1000 stations and due to this, I will not add Thameslink but some Overground or Crossrail lines do extend to some places Thameslink serves. Credits to chris for the original map however the original map has been deleted. Do not even consider branching this map because it is too large and might lag your device but you can star this map if you like. But anyway, let’s get on with what’s new or changed. For London Underground Lines, all existing tube lines extend south of the River Thames to most suburbs in South London (except the Central Line) alongside extending north of the M25 motorway. New tube lines include the Charles, Chelney, Circular, Eustonwharf, Kingsway, Northern Heights, Marblesea, Orbital, Primrose, Southern, Tuppeny, Wankerton lines. I won’t talk about all new tube lines though. The Wankerton Line is a rename from Waterloo & City Line and is extended to Sewardstonebury via part of the Lea Valley lines to Chingford and south to Sutton and the Northern Heights & Southern Lines are separated permanently from the Northern Line meaning the southern section of the Northern Heights Line extends east via Lewisham, Burgess Park and Hither Green to Dartford. Also, the Northern Line extension is integrated into the Kingsway line and heads a different route towards Waltham Abbey, Expanded Heathrow Airport and Windsor Central. Two new circle lines are built, the Orbital and Circular Lines. The Orbital Line uses existing tracks from the London Overground and becomes the 5th sub-surface tube line due to the existing track but new tunnels are built from Peckham Rye to Stratford via Canary Wharf and serves the future Old Oak Common station directly. The Circular Line on the other hand, is a outer circle with whole new tunnels circling Zone 3/4 on the tube map. Some areas follow the current/proposed Superloop bus network by the way. The Charles Line is notable because it reuses the Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace railway line and the NorthernCity Line whilst still extending north and south or existing rails or new tunnels. For DLR Lines, a new Thames Wharf station opens between Canning Town and West Silvertown but on the same DLR branch, the line would extend south to Swanley via Welling and Albany Park. Tower Gateway station would close being replaced by new platforms at Tower Hill alongside existing the Bank branch to Marble Arch via Charing Cross. New extensions to Thamesmead and Erith splitting from Gallions Reach opens and an extension to Barking from Beckton also opening. A new line from Bow Church to Hackney Central is revived but is built underground due to housing being built on top. Other extensions include to Leyton Midland Road from Stratford International and to Forest Hill from Lewisham and a new branch and station between All Saints and Crossharbour called Wood Wharf. For Tramlink Lines, a new extension from to Richmond from Wimbledon is built mostly on the street however, this idea came from the internet. Other extensions include a new branch from Harrington Road to Crystal Palace is built mostly on the street and a new tram line following an old rail line to the old Selsdon station alongside a new curve at Sandilands and an extension to Bromley South. For Overground and Crossrail lines, Crossrail 2 (or Lioness Line) opens connecting Euston and Clapham Junction on a new tunnel before continuing south to Dorking, Woking and Guildford and north to Harpenden and Tring (This is not the proposed Crossrail 2 due to the Chelney tube line). Crossrail 3 (or Weaver Line) connects London Bridge to Bishopgate on a new tunnel before continuing on the Lea Valley Lines towards Hertford East, Walthamstow Central and Southend Central (as Liberty Line) and south to Dartford via Barnehurst and Knockholt and a new express line from Bishop Stortford to Gatwick Airport. Other new lines include the extension from Barking Riverside on the Sufragette line to Abbey Wood, West London Orbital (called Mildmay Line), new underground Gospel Oak station for service onto the Midland Main Line and finally the reintroduction of the Dalston East Curve ending some East London services to Walthamstow whilst other services that terminated in Highbury & Islington extends along the new West London Orbital now known as the Windrush Line. A new suspension railway called East London Suspension Railway operates from Lewisham to Aldersbrook via Greenwich Peninsula however due to this, I made a new IFS Cloud Cable Car line to Isle of Dogs from Greenwich Peninsula… Please note that some ideas may have been used online although some ideas are my own and I might have not told about everything. (I live in London so this map is better connected in most parts of the city). Some stations may be in countryside but those areas would get new development to serve the new tube lines and stations. The zones would change to 4 zones from 15. Zone 1 means central, Zone 2 means inner suburb, Zone 3 means outer suburb and Zone 4 means Outside M25. London Transport Expanded Concept Map II will be released soon also with different lines and the link will be here:
