A DC/Baltimore Transit Upgrade (WIP) by

hello again washington dc we meet again after 2 years I just recently came back from Washington DC and had the absolute privilege of riding the WMATA system (fun fact: this was my first metro experience). While there, I got to see many of the metro's various features and quirks (of course, from a tourist's lens, which definitely skews things), and wanted to think about a more whole approach to improving transit in DC. WMATA as a system, at least as I saw it, tends to be very strong overall (at least in the urban core), but could definitely see some service improvements. Since DC and Baltimore are very interconnected transit-wise, I decided to include both in this map (also fulfils my goal of making a Baltimore map) this might turn into a more general MD/DE/Northern VA transit map over time NOTES: Infill stations added for WMATA and SubwayLink TOD is built at WMATA park and ride stations New tunnel connects Baltimore Penn and Camden stations to each other VRE and MARC schedules vastly improve as all-round service IN PROGRESS: - Penn Line Extension to Wilmington Huge thanks to Wobs100 for the alignment on the Annapolis Line South! The right of way is almost directly taken from his Wash-Bahn map!
