This map is the result of an idea from @DanielHernandez the MapCreator. The initial idea was what the system could look like today if this was actually built. I thought that prompt would make a very intriguing map, so here it is. All line names have been changed from their original names to a mostly arbitrary number name, as I thought that that would be a realistic change that would happen, considering the name changes done to the Chicago "L" lines over the years. If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments below! I'm looking for connections in the city that would be very useful. For stations shared by metro and regional rail, the format goes: Metro Name/Regional Name, if a metro station's name already has a slash, the format is: Metro Name Street 1/Metro Name Street 2/Regional Name Example 1: Dix/Melvindale Example 2: Escorse/Byers/Taylor 9/3/2024: Started adding suburban rail 4/5/2025: Began expanding and broadening services, added Windsor BRT 6/23/2025: Began further adding regional and miscellaneous services, broadened map scope
