The DC commuter rail system has some problems.. so lets fix it and no it's not extending MARC to Alexandria. Introducing a S-Bahn like system, we will have improvements like better frequency, more trains on the weekends and holidays, and though running Union Station, This new system will have 5 new lines! A, B, C, D, and E!
