Lines 1 and 2 have service at least once every 2 hours. Line 1 is a splitting train, dividing to serve both Newark and Wilmington. Line 3 is a rural coverage line in the southern peninsula, with secondary goals of revitalizing freight traffic and tourism in the area. Needs double tracking between Wilmington and Harrington, the space is available as the line used to be double track in the past. New approaches to both Newark and Wilmington to avoid interfering with NEC servicies. Operated by diesel DMUs and railcars. Switch to hydrogen or battery in the future when the range becomes good enough.
