Blue and Red: extensions on both sides. Both operated with large LRT vehicles like the Siemens S200 that's already on order. Despite the "light rail" nature of the system extensions should be built as much subway-like as possible.
Green line becomes a circulator serving the waterfront and new High Speed/Long Distance station.
Yellow and Purple: new lines built as street running light rail (aka trams), fully in dedicated lanes. Their goal is both serving existing needs, and also revitalizing the downtown and inner suburbs.
Short underground section between East 6th and Detroit–Superior Bridge, finally reactivating the lower level of the bridge.
HSR: mostly running in existing rail ROW on separate tracks, with some curve straightening and short tunnels where needed. Connections to Detroit, Chicago, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Columbus, and further on.
