Designed to build on the existing rail infrastructure of Florida (including Amtrak, CSX, Brightline, Sun Rail, Tri Rail, Jacksonville Skyway, and Sugar Express) to show what a unified system could carry. - Sunshine Rail (yellow) is the High Speed express routes connecting the four major cities (Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville) with very few stops between them. - Orange Rail (orange) functions as a supplement to the Sunshine Rail, connecting cities and most large towns. The two Sunshine Rail routes also have an Orange line to reach all of the cities and large towns on the route. - Flamingo Rail (pink) functions as commuter rail. This includes both connectors to get small towns to nearby Orange Routes as well as true commuter trips connecting major cities to dense population areas nearby. These are shorter trips designed around the spoke-and-wheel model. - Palm (color) are 'regional rail' type transit options. These include light rail in cities and BRT in smaller towns. Due to the sandy terrain and high water table, underground systems are not ideal, so light rail will either be at grade in medium density areas (or where tracks already exist) or above grade. - Treefrog (teal) are the connecting bus routes that blanket areas. As the boundaries for this system are not city or county restricted, routes can follow population maps based on recent census data and travel statistics. These will be initially based on existing bus routes with slight changes to connect to rail options that now are on the map. - Alligator (green) are tourist-oriented tram systems that connect to popular tourist destinations like theme parks, beaches, etc. in order to facilitate vacation travels with an emphasis on connecting to major transit hubs like Union Stations and airports.
