*WORK IN PROGRESS - LEAVE SUGGESTIONS OR NOTES FOR IMPROVEMENT IN COMMENTS* *RED LINES ARE IN PROGRESS* Given $2T and a guarantee of 10 years of uninterrupted support for planning, construction, and activation - the National Park Service has built out a transportation network of trains, buses, ferries, and airplane to connect Americans to each other and to sites managed by the National Park Service or with other historical, ecological, and cultural significance (including those managed by USFS, Smithsonian, Department of Defense, and other unique features or museums managed locally). Priority has been given to the 63 National Parks (including those in American Samoa and the US Virgin Islands). National Monuments, Historical Parks, Forests, Monuments, etc. will be connected in the next decade of development with $500B of investment. This project has been paid for wiht cuts to the Department of Defense, increased taxes on carbon, and by local grants and deep philanthropic investment. Much of the infrastructure already exists and so much of the effort will be focused on rural connections, bringing new vehicles online, and ensuring quality service. Some regions or lines impacted by seasonal closures.
