San Francisco Muni Metro

City wide expansion of MUNI Metro. This expansion focuses on corridors underserved by rapid transit as well as circumferential lines allowing rapid transit trips around the city without going downtown. This map also includes northern San Mateo County rapid transit lines creating strong connections and integrating the northern peninsula w San Francisco on both sides of San Bruno mountain. There are several new neighborhoods and commercial developments at Candlestick served by the H Van Ness-Potrero line. There is a new BART station at 30th St. The E, F, J, and O lines are trams using heritage PCC cars. The A Loop Line is underground from Columbus & Vallejo through the Central Subway to Church & Duboce. The J Church is a PCC line running on surface Market St w the F Market line to the Ferry Bldg. The J Church Line goes to 30th St BART/ D Mission line, and along Cortland to the H Van Ness-Potrero line, along Palau to Oakdale Caltrain, then to 3rd St and the T 3rd St line, connecting eastern and southern SF to central SF. The tracks on San Jose Ave (formerly by J Church) are now only used to proceed on to storage at the Balboa Park yard. These stations were the least used on MUNI rail. The O 24th St Line is a Heritage PCC line along the 24th St commercial corridor from the H Van Ness-Potrero line to the D Mission line, BART, J Church, to Castro St The D Van Ness-Mission Line does not use San Jose Ave but stays on Mission through the Excelsior to Ocean Ave and Balboa Park BART. The M Ocean View Line goes underground from Junipero Serra to Ocean Ave. The G 19th Line goes underground at Brotherhood Way to Ocean Ave and from 19th & Lincoln through the Central Subway. The B Geary and G 19th Lines are underground in 4 track tunnel from Park Presidio to Mason. The B Geary Line surfaces just east of Powell. The G Line continues into the Central Subway. The G 19th Line is express from Geary & 11th Ave to Fillmore and then to Union Sq. The Q Sunset-Geneva and the G 19th Ave Lines are underground through Golden Gate Park. The V Candlestick Tram serves future mixed use developments on the peninsula where Candlestick Park was. Caltrain's 22nd St station is closed and replaced by a 16th St station w a connection to the A line. Northern San Mateo County is served by the Daly City Line and 3 South San Francisco trams connecting to MUNI, BART, Caltrain, and SFO Air Train The Daly City light rail line is a feeder line to the Daly City, Colma, and South San Francisco BART stations, the MUNI G 19th Line, as well as a distributor to Daly City shopping and employment. The 3 SSF trams serve South San Francisco, East SSF, Brisbane, Millbrae, and San Bruno and connect to the Daly City line, Caltrain, BART, MUNI H Van Ness-Potrero line, the Q Sunset-Geneva Line, the T 3rd St Line, and the SFO Air Train
