TTC Express Subway Network Concept (2050)

This map is made as a response of sorts to Doug Ford's recent proposal for a tunnel underneath the 401. An express subway network is a much more feasible solution to Toronto's infamous traffic problem. Firstly, I want to point your attention towards Museum Station, which serves as a "second Union" for Toronto's subway network. The corridor from Spadina to Yonge stations is the most busy in the city, and utilizing a renovated/repurposed ROM would make for a spacious and easy to understand station. This station would connect riders to both express networks available in the city. The Line 1 express network would allow riders to move between TTC lines faster than ever, as Line 1 is the only line that has changeovers for every other line in the city. An express line would allow for near-direct transfers between lines that are kilometers apart. This would also relieve traffic greatly, as it would become impossible to drive faster than the train without aggressively speeding. In order to avoid confusion in travel direction, a "clock-like" map would be placed on platforms to remind riders of where they must be. I know, the loop may seem confusing, but it makes sense. Line 1's yard is by Wilson station, so trains will need a faster way to access other parts of the system. Extending Line 4 and using the track for local service towards Sheppard West and Line 1 express service seems to be the best choice. The Line 2 express is split into two portions, East and West, however, Eastbound trains will convert to Westbound trains after a brief hold at museum. The color difference is needed due to the higher number of stations on the Line 2 express.
