ttc 2077 - Toronto TTC Concept Map A realistic vision of a future rapid transit network for the Toronto TTC including subways and LRT, and rapid transit in the GTA. This fantasy concept map is based on the existing TTC subway system, projects under construction, proposed plans, and my concept plans. This map is based on the existing TTC network as of 2025, which includes Line 1 from Finch to Vaughan, Line 2 from Kipling to Kennedy, and Line 4 from Sheppard-Yonge to Don Mills. Projects and expansions expected to open soon include Line 5 and 6, Line 1 and 2 extension, Line 3 Ontario, and the Hazel McCallion Line. Note that some stations are renamed and different from existing plans. This concept map takes expansions further and includes new lines and extensions for all existing lines. Line 1 is extended northwest to Vaughan Mills Mall. Line 2 extends west to Mississauga Centre and north to Markham Centennial. The extensions make Line 2 the longest Toronto subway line at 51 stations and 56 km. Line 3 Ontario Line is extended beyond current plans, forming a U-shape line through downtown Toronto. Line 4 Sheppard extends to Downsview Park and Lines 1 and 6 in the west, to Pickering in the east via Scarborough Centre. The line mostly parallels Highway 401. Line 5 is extended to the east to UTSC, and west to Renforth, before splitting to two branches to Pearson Airport and Mississauga Centre. Line 6 extends beyond Humber College to Pearson, and adds a one-stop extension from Finch West to Downsview Park, connecting with Line 1, 4, and GO Barrie. A transport hub at Pearson Airport is established, connecting UP Express, GO Kitchener branch, and Lines 5, 6, and 8. The Pearson Terminal Link is extended one stop to the Pearson Airport station. Line 7 Ossington is a new subway line that will elevate the downtown subway network from Ontario Place to Ossington, connecting Lines 2 and 3. Line 8 Etobicoke will be a new link in the west end connecting Kipling, Pearson, and Brampton. A new waterfront LRT upgrades the existing streetcar network, and extends to Port Credit to the west and Woodbine to the east, supporting the growing Toronto waterfront. The LRT spans 3 routes, West, Central, and East, with the Central route between Exhibition and Port Lands South, the most densely populated area. In Peel Region, Line 1 Hurontario is the first subway outside Toronto proper. It connects Mississauga and Brampton and serves both city's downtowns. From Port Credit to Brampton Centre, the line connects to TTC Waterfront LRT, Lines 2 and 5, and GO Lakeshore West, Milton, and Kitchener. At the Toronto waterfront, the TTC now operates the TTC Ferries service, with 5 routes, including the current 3 ferries to the Toronto Islands. The Waterfront Ferry connects the Port Lands and Humber Bay with downtown, and the Islands Ferry connects the Port Lands and Marina Quay with the Islands. Subway Lines (frequency @ peak) TTC Line 1 Yonge-University: Vaughan Mills - Richmond Hill Centre (2 min) Line 2 Bloor-Danforth: Mississauga Centre - Centennial (2 min) Line 3 Ontario: Pioneer Village - Beaver Creek (2.5 min) Line 4 Sheppard: Downsview Park - Pickering Centre (3 min) Line 5 Eglinton: UTSC - Pearson Airport (A), UTSC - Mississauga Centre (B) (6 min, 3 min combined) Line 6 Finch West: Pearson Airport - Downsview Park (4 min) Line 7 Ossington: Ossington - Ontario Place (4 min) Line 8 Etobicoke: Kipling-Lake Shore - Brampton Centre (3 min) Peel Line 1 Hurontario: Port Credit - Brampton Centre (3 min) TTC Light Rail (Waterfront LRT): Waterfront Central: Exhibition - Cherry Beach (10 min) Waterfront West: Union - Port Credit (10 min) Waterfront East: Union - Woodbine (10 min) TTC Ferries: Line 1 Waterfront: Cherry Docks - Humber Bay Quay, Cherry Docks - Port Credit (branch A) (30 min, 15 min combined) Line 2 Islands: Marina Quay - Cherry Docks (15 min) Line 3 Hanlan's Point: Jack Layton - Hanlan's Point (30 min) Line 4 Centre Island: Jack Layton - Centre Island (15 min) Line 5 Ward's Island: Jack Layton - Ward's Island (30 min) In progress: Grade selection of stations (line 1 done)
