Transit Pitch Tuesday #1: The Cotai-Coloane Line

Hello! Welcome to Transit Pitch Tuesday, a map series that comes out every Tuesday to solve transit problems. Today's topic is Macau. Macau has a good light metro system. They have three lines, 15 Stations, and 10 Miles of Track. However, there is one big problem. Macau is known for their casinos, but the metro only serves the outer portion of the casinos, not the inner portions where most of them are. This is where the Cotai-Coloane Line Comes in. This plan calls for extending the Seac Pai Van Line north from Union Hospital to the Taipa Maritime Terminal along the Cotai Strip and south to Coloane Village, adding 9 stations and 5.2 miles of new track as well as renaming the Seac Pai Van Line to the Cotai-Coloane Line. This way, tourists can finally use the metro to get to a hotel or casino without walking a long distance or they can take it to visit the historic Coloane Village or Old town Taipa.
