Kazakhstan Passenger Rail Atlas (Resurrected)

The original map with 10k waypoints was accidentally deleted after almost a year of work. I am gonna restore it anyway. Train number is usually in pairs: for example. 043 is Almaty - Qostanai and 044 is Qostanai - Almaty. Meaning of the letter after the number is unknown for everyone, including Kazakhstan Railways employees in the call centre. Some numbers are repeated, some routes are indicated by several numbers or one number only. Nobody knows. Train routes have two numbers - one in internal documents of Kazakhstan Railways and one that comes in tickets. I indicate ticket number except on some suburban routes from Qyzyljar (Petropavl) because that section is under Russian Railways jurisdiction and they operate under their own numeration. Technical stops, stops on passing loops, minor 1-2 minute stops were also counted. Color on main and regional routes indicates transport company: Red - Kazakhstan Railways Inc. Maroon - Kazakhstan Railways Inc. Suburban Transportation department Green - Turksib-Astana LLP Olive - Nomadas LLP Blue - ArlanTransAstana LLP Mint- Turan-Express LLP Lavender - Sary-Arka Company LLP Brown - Otpan Logistics LLP Beige - Evraz Trans LLP Navy - Maral Nur LLP Grey - KazRail LLP Apricot - Solyx Express LLP Magenta - work in progress Purple - railways under construction Yellow - Stepnogorsk urban railway (operator - Stepnogorskavtotrans LLP) Orange - Trams of Pavlodar (operator - Pavlodar city Transport department) Verdigris - Trams of Öskemen (operator - "Ertis" social-entrepreneurial corporation) White - Trams of Temirtaw (operator - Qarmet Inc.)
