CONCEPT : Fantasy Map of Grand Paris in 2040. Based on Grand Paris SCOT, SDRIF 2014, 2020 & 2030, independant advisors (PLIDF, APUR), political announcements and some of my own conclusions. Initially forked from Oscar Gr's "Paris (Réel)". Some lines remain untouched, many of them were remodeled, a few are created from scratch. QUALITY : The map is redesigned to be ultra realistic and high definition : trams and metros are very precise (<50cm), RER and Transilien still are a bit messy. Some stations are voluntarily simplified to be more aesthetic. LOG OF CHANGES (IN COMPARISON WITH SEPTEMBER 2024 IDFM OFFICIAL MAP) : EXISTING LINES - M01 : extension to Val de Fontenay to connect to M15, T01 and B05 (SDRIF). - M03 : extension to Bécon-les-Bruyères to connect with M15, and then to Nanterre Université (working as a tram-train) replacing this section of Transilien L and connecting with RER A and T01. Extension and Fontenay-sous-Bois to connect with M01. - M03bis : deletion, in order to create M23. - M04 : extension to Saint-Denis Pleyel to connect with M04, M15, M16, M17 and M24. Extension to Châtenay-Malabris to connect with T10 and replace RER B Robinson's brench. - M05 : added Bobigny - La Folie Station to connect with T11. - M07 : extension to Le Bourget to connect with T11, M16, M17, and existing RER B and line K. Transfer of the Ivry's brench to hypothetical line 20 (southern belt of Paris). - M07bis : deletion, in order to create M23. - M08 : extension to Clamart to improve accessibility of Southern Paris and connect with line N and hypothetical M25. - M09 : extension to Sèvres to connect with lines L, N, U and hypothetical M25. Extension to Bondy to connect with T01, T04, M11, M15 and RER E. - M10 : extension to Vitry to connect with future M15, RER C, T09, and hypothetical M20. - M11 : extension to Noisy-Champs to connect with M15 and M16. - M12 : extension to Meudon to connect with M15, RER C and T02. Extension to La Courneuve to connect with M16, M17, RER B and Transilien K. Deviation between Notre-Dame-de-Lorette and Marx Dormoy, this segment is conceded to hypothetical M21 and M24. - M13 : transfer of St-Denis stations (St-Denis brench) to hypothetical M24 in order to increase performances and reduce crowding of the line. St-Denis branch now ends at Mairie de St-Ouen to gain fiability. - RER A : deletion of the Poissy branch, replaced by RER E. Extension to Brie-Comte-Robert (SDRIF). All trains now stop at Nanterre-Université, as Transilien L doesn't work there now. - RER B : deletion of the Robinson branch, replaced bu M04. - RER C : deletion of the Tour Eiffel - Pontoise branch, replaced by M20 and RER F. - RER D : deviation of section between Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon, now passing by République instead of Châtelet (reallocates some fluxes and resolve the shared tunnel issue with RER B) ; adding a new branch heading to Milly-la-Forêt (91.000 inhabitants). - RER E : extension to Mantes-la-Jolie (SDRIF). - Transilien L : deletion of the Mantes-la-Jolie's branch, replaced by RER E. Deletion of Cergy's branch : Nanterre-Cergy section fully assured by RER A now systematically stopping at Université, replaced by M03 on the Nanterre-Bécon section, and fully assumed by other branches of Transilien L on the Bécon-St Lazare segment. - Transilien N : deletion of the entire line, merged with the Pontoise - St Ouen part of RER C to produce RER F (SDRIF). - Transilien P : adding one stop in Noisy-le-Sec to improve connection and avoid silly changes. - Transilien H: deletion, replaced by RER G. - T01 : extension to Rueil-Malmaison and to Val de Fontenay (SDRIF). - T03 : Unification from routes T03a and T03b, Addition of Porte de Champerret, making the transfers easier. - T03a : deletion, merged with T03. - T03b : deletion, merged with T03. - T06 : extension to Mairie de Montrouge in order to connect with M04 (initially planned until Porte d'Orléans by APUR, but this segment doesn't seems relevant now M04 was extended to Bagneux). - T07 : extension to Juvisy (SDRIF). - T08 : extension to Rosa Parks (SDRIF) then to Manin to connect with M21 (initially planned by APUR until Porte de Vincennes, which is more or less what M21 will do). - T09 : extension to Orly. - T12 : extension to Versailles-Chantiers, replacing RER C8 branch. - T13 : extension to Achères RER (SDRIF), and alternative route (TransportParis). - OrlyVAL : since M14 is way more efficient, only the airport section was maintained. The rest is now a bike lane. NEW LINES ACCORDING TO SDRIF 2014, 2020, 2030 - Metro : creation of lines M15 est, M15 ouest, M15 sud, M16, M17, M18 according to SDRIF. M19 is not mapped out due to a lack of information about it and political changes. I added one extra-station for M15 sud at Les Moulineaux in order to connect with T2. - BRT : creation of Tzen2,3,4 [work in progress] which will be named B02, B03, B05. Creation of B06 (most known as "Bords de Marne", operating in 2030), according to SDRIF. - Trains : creation of RER F, merging transilien N and the northern brench of RER C ; replacing RER C8 branch to Versailles-Chantiers, RER G, as a replacement of Transilien H. - Trams : HYPOTHETICAL LINES (MORE TO COME) - M20 : a new ring connecting St-Ouen to Paris and Maisons-Alfort. The western section uses the old RER C in tram-train format. The rest of the track will have a classic parisian subway format, as the roads used are too busy to support a tramway. The former M07 Ivry's branch will be used. - M21 : creation of a new belt inside Paris, connecting peripheral districts. All the line is underground, using former M12 segment between Marx Dormoy and Jules Joffrin. Should not be the most efficient line, but it will help to reduce road trafic and avoid some stupid connections. Maybe it will pass by Rosa Parks, as it is a new major pole in the city, but the detour seems to big. Takes a segment of the project of T08 extension to Porte de Vincennes suggested by APUR. - M22 : improves 11th and 15th districts access, creates a connection between Gare Montparnasse and Gare de Lyon, and improves southern cities access. - M23 : merging former lines 3bis and 7bis at Porte des Lilas using existing connection between them, and extension to Magenta in order to improve connection with city center (With speculations). - M24 : creates a new north-south line in order to reduce crowding of M04, 12, 13 & 14, to connect some isolated or crowded parts of the city center, and to give an alternative to the disastrous commercial speed of M12. Uses former M13 St-Denis' brench, former M12 segment between Jules Joffrin and Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, and then goes to Rue de la Glacière. Inherit of the project to extend M13 from St-Denis to Stains. - M25 : creates a new belt connecting densely populated cities on the south, and completing the awaited (thought difficult) extension of M05 between Place d'Italie and Cité Universitaire, and of M10 to St-Cloud. - T10b : conversion of TVM in order to improve confort for passengers. - T14 : from St-Cloud to Rueil-Malmaison, improves connectivity of the area. - T15 : from Nation to Créteil. - B06 : connects eastern cities of Greater Paris without searching to connect them to Paris, a BRT simplifying transit for locals.
