How this map works. Each expansion will be listed in order of when I think they should be completed and how important they are. I do not like stop spacing that is too close and try to avoid it. My favorite stop spacing is the red line in Cambridge.
1) First change: Separate the MBTA into
(T) = Boston/Massachusetts Bay Metro/Subway System
NER (New England Rail) = Commuter rail / Regional rail
2) Extended the Blue Line to Lynn (East Lynn) and Watertown (Bemis). Also getting rid of the Bowdoin stop on the Blue Line.
3) Add new circle line (Yellow Line)
4)Balance the Red and Green Lines. Trying to make sure that each spur has at least four unique stops. Change the red line to Red Line-A For Ashmont and Red Line-B for Braintree. Get rid of the Mattapan Trolley and replaced with Red Line-A extension. Also
getting rid of some of the stops on the Mattapan Trolley to help with metro level speeds. The new terminating stops for the red line and green line Red Line-A (Arlington Heights) (Mattapan), Red Line-B (Brandeis University), Green Line-B (Glendale), Green
Line-C (Revere), Green Line-D (Belmont Street).
5)Extend and branch the Orange Line so that it covers the rest of Boston proper. I will be forking the Orange Line into Orange Line-X to (Millennium Park) and Orange Line-Y to (Readville) to have less confusion between letters. Add an infill stop on the North
branch of the Orange Line at Medford St (Edgeworth).
