Hello there, I am DanielHernandez the MapCreator. This map demonstrates how MetroDreamin’ works. If you are new to the site, star the map if this has helped you because this map may be handy in the future. Now let’s get on to how to make a map but first, zoom into central London because of the grey line. The red line demonstrates a simple straight line from one place to another. The orange line demonstrates a loop which is recommended to make a circle line. The yellow and blue lines demonstrate an interchange between two lines like a transfer. The green line demonstrates a curve or alignment you want to add to your line (I recommend using railways mode for this one). The purple line demonstrates how a line can have two branches. To do this, fork your existing line and then remove the stations and waypoints you don’t need and then add a station anywhere you want. The black and second olive line shows walking connection which is an out of station interchange where you would walk from one station to another but paying the same fare. The mint line represents the speed of a gondola/cable car, The cyan line represents the speed of a bus, the magenta line represents a tram, the olive line represents a ferry, the apricot line represents a bus rapid transit, the navy line represents light rail/interirbsn, the lime line represents metro/rapid transit, the pink line represents regional rail, the teal line represents high speed rail and the grey line represents an airliner e.g. Airbus A320 or Boeing 737. Lines can share tracks with each other and it is possible to do it on here. The beige and maroon lines share tracks however one station on the maroon line is a waypoint for the beige line meaning trains do not stop there. To do this, go to a station, scroll down onto where you find ‘Make waypoint for *something* only and click on it however for the lavender and brown lines, this is not the case.
