Here's my vision for a transit system for Buffalo, NY! All routes originate at or near the Buffalo Exchange St. station. Main Street - Amherst Line: This line takes the current light rail/subway line and expands it northward based on the original 1975 plan. Some infill stations (such as Theater District and Jewett Pkwy) have also been added to improve connectivity and coverage on the line. Headways are 10 minutes. Niagara Line: The longest line in the system, this line provides access from Buffalo to Niagara Falls via Tonawanda. Headways are 20 minutes. There will be a shuttle bus (not shown) that will take riders from the Niagara Falls station to the actual waterfalls and parks. Buffalo Beltline: This line connects the Niagara, Main Street-Amherst, and Airport lines by crossing through the outer urban areas of Buffalo. Headways are 15 minutes. Airport Line: This line provides access to the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport, while also making local stops along the way. Headways are 15 minutes. Lakeshore Line: This line serves some towns on Lake Erie that are southwest of Buffalo. Because this line does not pass through the denser parts of the city, the headways are 20 minutes and there is no weekend service. Intercity Rail: Amtrak's Maple Leaf and Empire Service lines make stops at Buffalo Exchange St. and Depew stations.
