Phoenix Valley Metro

Welcome to the Phoenix Valley Metro! This is my fantasy transit map of the city of Phoenix and its surrounding cities/suburbs. It is inspired by the Paris Metro, along with its RER and commuter network. Below I will add all of the different categories of systems I have on this map, along with the specifics regarding certain major train stations. Major Stations Phoenix Central Station: This station will be the cities hub for the metro system, and will have mainly subway transfers and connections with some at grade connections with the light rail and streetcars. Phoenix Union Station: Hub for the cities commuter lines, with access to Phoenix Central via a cross hub metro line. Tempe Metropolitan Station: Burton Barr Central Station: I am planning on making this the new hub for the cross city lines, but I have not yet decided. Systems Cottontail: The Cottontail network is Phoenix's ever expanding trolley/tram network. Depending on the area and city of course, the cottontails can range from your smaller San Francisco cable car style of streetcar, to full blown heavy trams like in places like Tempe and Prague. Jackrabbit: The Jackrabbit network is Phoenix's light rail network. Like the current light rail in phoenix, it consists of grade separated center track, with at grade street crossings, but to improve efficiency, the light rail is given right of way over all else, therefore intersections will go fully red before the lightrail arrives in order to allow it to blast through the intersection with no interruptions. Sandcutter: The Sandcutter is Phoenix's underground metro system, inspired off of the metro systems known around the world such as the Underground in London, the Métropolitain in Paris, and the U-Bahn in Berlin. Roadrunner: The Roadrunner is the commuter service for the valley, inspired off of the RER in Paris, and serves as the city's connection to the downtown phoenix hub at the Phoenix Union Station, or the Tempe Metropolitan Station. Javelina: The Javelina is the longer distance commuter service. It more so resembles the Transilien in Paris, and unlike the Roadrunner, provides cross city heavy rail transit.
