Montréal Rapid Transit Crayoning

I have been shitposting my way across Canada with these maps so it's time for Montreal because the STM is very nice. I honestly can't wait for the REM to be actually done because it's going to be great. Enjoy my shitposting on the Montreal Express BRT and the REM! -Blue line extensions in both directions because yes. For the part between MTL Ouest and YUL I imagine it would be elevated overtop of the rail corridor when it can because yas or at grade for some parts because there’s probably enough space. The YUL station is just a rough placement to get the idea. Then I thought why not make a bigger, greater blue line so now it’s even longer in the east. -Green line west extension because I can. With the connection to the blue line, it will be easier to transfer for crosstown journeys. -Orange Line to Bois Franc REM because that just makes sense. Also more Laval Orange Like because yay. -A yellow line extension that I just threw together so yeah. -The REM De L'Est is probably never happening but we can dream. I tried to make sense of the CDPQ's map even though it's weird. I also extended it all the way to Repentigny because why not. -In the north there was all these unconnected spokes so I added a new line for fun to connect them, Henri Bourassa is wide enough that it could be an elevated metro or street running tramway. But I feel cut and cover metro is better. Also, it gets rid of the number gap. -Extension of the Red/Green to the south shore because why not, it’s been underserved this whole time why not give it way too much. Also BART style highway median regional metro. -The south shore is full of wide streets so let’s give them a tram/LRT and some BRT.
