Penang Metro Vision (Island) (OUTDATED)

MRT Mutiara Line (Red) - Upgraded Line of the previous LRT Mutiara Line. Features fully elevated transit line serving from KOMTAR station to Silicon Island station. Depot situated on Silicon Island. MRT Island Line (Green) - The island's first MRT line. Most of the transit is below ground with the exception of the mountainous section between Relau and Paya Terubong. Depot situated in the outskirts of Batu Maung. MRT Coastal Line (Yellow) - MRT Line intended to extend mass rapid transit service to hotspots in Queensbay and Gurney Drive as well as to suburban areas of Teluk Kumbar and Tanjung Tokong. Underground in city centre and partially elevated in the outskirts. Planned extensions to Balik Pulau to form loop system. ELR Jerejak Line (Blue) - Extends transit service to newly refurbished resort island Jerejak via elevated light rail system. Extended to provide service connection for MRT lines in downtown area. ELR Andaman Line (Orange) - Elevated Light Rail system identical to ELR Jerejak Line. Services tourist hotspots in northern part of the Island, as well as the newly completed luxury housing island Andaman. Depot stationed on Andaman Island Butterworth Commuter Train (Black) - Extended regional suburban commuter line based on the pre-existing KTMB railway with additional stations and northern extension of the line Butterworth Commuter Line (Black) - Extended rergional suburban commuter service based on pre-existing KTMB railway lines with additional stations and northern extension of the line.
