Chiang Mai is the second-biggest city in Thailand with an urban population of 1.2 millions. Located in Northern Thailand, having a geography of Bowl-shaped city, similar to Kathmandu, Nepal.
In terms of Public Transport. Chiang Mai has 4 options available right now, Songthaew, (which is a convertibled pickup, designed to pick up passengers, similar to jeepney in the Philippines) Intercity Buses, Intercity Rails and Air Transportations. The city itself is still car-centric.
The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand. (MRTA) Who is responsible for urban rapid transit in Thailand. Planned the Chiang Mai Light Rail for reduce car congestion in the city, the first line (or the Red line) will runs from Nakornping Hospital to Mae Hea Saman Samakkhi, with future extension. Which the project is now under review and research. And the possibilities to build another 2 lines (the Blue and Green Lines) which will run through CBD of Chiang Mai.
This map is imaginary, the Master Plan from MRTA will be separated from fictional lines from my opinion.
The map is not 100 percent accurate, and some station names are not accurate, by using local place name/neighbourhood as station name.
