A map of fictional commuter rail in Southeast Texas, and mostly the City of Houston. Changes to already existing routes: Burnett Transit Center in Houston has been rebuilt into a 12 track heavy rail terminus, with light rail and bus terminals, and it is now called Houston Central Station, or just Houston Central the Amtrak "Sunset Limited" has gained a new stop in Rosenburg the Amtrak "Texas Eagle" has been diverted from McGregor to Waco Additions: the Amtrak "Texas Eagle" has gained an eastern branch of the route, with stops at Marlin, College Station, Navasota, Magnolia, Spring, and Houston Central On the way south from Chicago, the Eagle will be one large consist. Once reaching Waco, it will split into 2 smaller trains; one going to San Antonio, one going to Houston the Amtrak "The Galvi" has been added as a short-distance route between Houston and Galveston, with an intermediate stop in League City. During the fall and winter, it 2 round trips a day into the historic Galveston depot. During the spring and summer, it runs 3 round trips a day. the fictional commuter/regional rail operator, VerTex has been added. With routes between Houston Central and important places such as Galveston, Freeport, Beaumont, College Station, Rosenburg, Katy, Dayton, Conroe, and many more. VerTex's flagship route is "The Aggie Express" which is a higher-speed electrified service between Houston and the Texas A&M University campus in College Station, with stops in important towns along the way like Cypress, Hempstead, and Navasota.
