Marcasia DMV Transit

A transit fan in the DC area. Currently attending university. April 19, 2026: So my activity has been somewhat inconsistent due to times where I lost interest temporarily in working on Metrodreamin. As such, I have decided to consolidate most/all of my improvement efforts for now to two of my fantasy maps, both Major WIP: 1. DC Area Major Transit Expansion (Rail Focused) - This map is my flagship map. It imagines that the DC area had much more will to expand rail and that the streetcar never got discontinued, among a lot of other things... It is a mix of various official proposals and my own ideas. As of now, I am pretty satisfied with Metro, but the DC streetcar still needs a lot of new lines. 2. Fairfax Buses Reimagined - This map is my flagship bus-focused map. Unlike the above, it imagines that no new rail service is constructed beyond the Purple Line, and except for the BRT lines, could hypothetically be implemented within a few months if sufficient funding was received. It is a mix of various official proposals and my own ideas (but so far mostly the former). Detailed Google Docs/Sheets are linked. As of now, all Metrobus current network and Visionary Network routes serving Fairfax County (mostly F routes, some A and M routes) are included with various modifications/improvements, as is the redesigned CUE network. Next steps are to add Fairfax Connector, and I may expand this map to cover Arlington County and Alexandria as well. (It would be rebranded as "NoVA Buses Reimagined".)
