The DC commuter rail system has some problems.. so lets fix it and no it's not extending MARC to Alexandria. Introducing a S-Bahn like system, we will have improvements like better frequency, more trains on the weekends and holidays, and though running Union Station, This new system will have 5 new lines! A, B, C, D, and E! A and B lines will run every 15 mins during rush hour and 30 mins off peak in both directions. This will also result for the elimination of Barnesville station. (A line West Virginian bound trains will run every 30 min in rush hour and every hour off peak) C line trains will run every 15 mins during rush hour and 25 mins off peak with 10 min frequencies to and from Camden Yards during game days. This will also result for the elimination of Laurel Racetrack Station. D line trains will run 10 - 15 mins during rush hour and 20 mins off peak. This will also result in electrification between Penn Station and Union Station (Trains to Perryville will run 15 mins during rush hour and 30 mins off peak) Lastly, E line trains run every 30 mins all day. A, B, C, and E lines run from 4 am - 12 am and D line runs from 2 am - 1 am with late night service going between Penn Station and Union Station.
