A map of all North American train systems, using accurate alignments. Currently a work in progress. The map includes special services, proposed lines, upcoming changes, and historic railways. I have not included airport trams and other railways only used for one establishment. There are also no systems with only two stops. I'll probably make a different map for long-distance rail to save on bandwidth. Feel free to comment suggestions or corrections.
A few changes have been to the map as opposed to what's there in reality:
1. Station names are intended to follow a consistent pattern, even if the actual provider uses something different. I also try to avoid abbreviations ("St.") and general names ("Stadium").
2. Many services form complicated loops i cannot make in MetroDreamin, so i do my best work around the fact.
3. Only one point is marked for a station, no alternate entrances are labelled.
4. All Long Island Rail Road lines terminate at either New York City Penn Station or Atlantic Terminal, even tho they also terminate at Grand Central Station and other locations. This is because both Penn and Atlantic have unique stops for their lines. Long Island City and Hunterspoint are listed as regular LIRR stations, not terminals. Likewise, all New Jersey Transit commuter rail lines terminate at New York Penn Station by default, for the same reason.
5. All SEPTA commuter rails fuse together based on old patterns.
